French custom motorcycle studio VIBA have built a custom Honda Monkey motorcycle using 3D printing and selective laser melting. The motorcycle was designed and built in collaboration with SLM Solutions Group AG and Rolf Lenk, world leaders in the use of 3D printing.
The custom parts produced using 3D printing and laser melting include the fuel tank, front fender, meter console bracket, levers and luggage rack. A simple, projector-type headlight is fitted between the front fender and luggage rack. Custom fuel tank features an internal honeycomb structure to prevent the fuel from sloshing. Only 23 motorcycles will be built.
